Working under the supervision of the pathologist is the clinical chemist who evaluates laboratory testing procedures in chemistry, hematology, immunology and other areas of the pathology department. The pathologists’ assistant is an intensively trained professional who provides services in anatomic pathology under the direction of the pathologist.
